Acnelan® is an advanced professional medical method for intensive treatment of acne. It combines  professional in clinic treatments with an at-home skincare maintenance programme.

How does Acnelan® work?

Acnelan® treatment unclogs pores and removes deep impurities to improve your skin’s texture.

The combination of its active ingredients – salicyclic acid, mandelic acid and sodium leepargilate – combined with bexaretinyl complex, provides deep cleansing and renewal of acne-prone skin.

What does Acnelan® treatment involve?

We recommend starting active skincare about three weeks before treatment. Some people may also benefit from a salicylic chemical peel, to prepare the skin for exfoliation.

On the day of your treatment we'll apply an Acnelan® mask for three minutes, to deeply cleanse your skin. We'll then apply a pore sealing shield to prolong and maintain the effects of the active ingredients of the Acnelan® mask.

At the end of your treatment, we use a crystal fibre mask that uses a combination of hyaluronic, aloe vera and cucumber to hydrate, soothe and calm your skin.

What results should I expect?

Your skin may be slightly red after treatment, but should settle within 24 hours. You may notice slight flaking after 2–3 days; this is a normal response to treatment.  Acnelan® is designed to clear out your pores, so you may experience breakouts for a few days after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

For the best results, we recommend three treatments, three weeks apart. If your acne is severe we may recommend up to five treatments.

      Is Acnelan® suitable for everyone?

Acnelan® is not recommended if you:

      • are pregnant or breastfeeding
      • have a hypersensitivity to aspirin
      • have been treated with Roaccutane in the last six months
      • have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring, open wounds
      • have recently had radiotherapy.

We recommend waiting two weeks before or after a Covid-19 vaccination to have Acnelan®, four weeks after stopping Doxycycline and two weeks after stopping St Johns Wart.

Please let us know if you're allergic to gluten or lactose, as a patch test is recommended prior to treatment to ensure there are no adverse reactions.

      Any post-treatment advice?

Avoid exposure to natural or artificial light, swimming, spas and saunas for up to 48 hours. We'll recommend the best skincare products for use following your treatment.
