Dermal Needling

Dermal Needling

Also known as Microneedling or Collagen Induction Therapy is a cosmetic procedure that involves the insertion of tiny, sterile needles into the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating the production of collagen (Collagen Induction), stimulates cell regeneration and jump-starts the body’s healing processes. Because of this, it’s extremely valuable as a treatment for everything from acne scars to stretch marks, wrinkles, improving coarse skin texture, brightening a dull complexion, hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores.
The treatment is completely customizable to best target your needs. The minimally invasive technique uses a blend of active serums created during your treatment and the needle depth is adjusted throughout the treatment to create the optimal skin response. Vibrational technology also works to eliminate any potential discomfort. Pre-sterilized, disposable needle cartridges are used to ensure optimal hygiene.
Designed to complement and encourage boosted regeneration of the skin, our treatment is completed with the application of a specially designed mask to deeply hydrate and heighten cellular activity, along with serums and creams to give the skin everything needed for regeneration and growth.

The process of creating micro-channels in the skin can deliver multiple benefits:

  • dramatically enhance the absorption of intensive topical products
  • stimulate the skins’ own regenerative capability by improving collagen creation.
  • skin that has lost its plump, youthful appearance
  • fine lines and deep wrinkles are softened
  • skin is thickened, tightened and elasticity restored
  • reduce acne scarring and minor scarring
  • pigmentation marks are lightened
  • Stretch marks are improved
  • disappearance of dilated blood vessels is encouraged
  • natural collagen response is induced
  • healing period is minimal
  • process is suited to all skin types (including IPL-resurfaced skin)
  • no permanent damage is caused
  • safely repeatable for maximum results
  • no sun-sensitivity is induced
  • all areas of the face, neck and chest can be treated

Resulting in improved skin texture, reduced wrinkle depth, scaring and general overall youthful vitality of the skin cells.

Taking under an hour, it’s a quick treatment that has a big impact on your skin and our treatment includes complimentary serums dependent on your personal skin type and concern for two weeks post care at home. Please allow 6-12 hours downtime after each treatment and avoid the sun.

Whilst you can simply do one session and see good results, our recommendation is a series of three to six needling sessions carried out at intervals ranging from 4-6weeks. More sessions may be required depending on your skin type and specific concerns.

Why is my face still red after Dermal Needling?

It's totally normal for your skin to appear red after you've had dermal needling done, but the majority of the redness should subside within 24 hours. However, if a more aggressive treatment was done, the redness may linger for a bit longer.

How long after Dermal Needling can I use AHA?

To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days do not use AHA's (glycolic Acid), retinol, acidic or “active” ingredients. Exposure to sun should also be avoided or zinc-based sunblock should be used.
