Dermaplane
DERMAPLANE
Dermaplaning is used as a gentle method of exfoliation which removes the outer layers of dead skin cells as well as any fine and soft facial hair. A sterile surgical blade is worked over the skin and is the perfect treatment for those who have blonde hair that cannot be removed with laser and sensitive skin not suitable for microdermabrasion. This treatment has no downtime and can be performed as a standalone or as an add-on to a skin peel for better intensity of treatment. Not suitable for active acne, rosacea, eczema, or any open sores.
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a treatment that uses a medical scalpel to gently exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells and remove fine facial hair commonly known as “peach fuzz”, technically called “vellus” hair. it can be used as an alternative to laser treatments and microdermabrasion or along with them for an enhanced result. This procedure will give your skin a more radiant appearance.
What is the benefit of adding a chemical peel with Dermaplaning?
Hyperkeratosis is a build-up of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. By removing this initial layer, a chemical peel can penetrate deeper into the dermis resulting in a more effective treatment. The conjunction of dermaplaning and a chemical peel leaves the skin refreshed and rejuvenated. Together they promote new skin growth and target problems such as aging, sunspots and environmental damage.
